Guy Bjerke of the City of Concord will share the latest news regarding the development of the Concord Naval Weapons Station site. The Weapons Station was closed in 2005, and a Community Reuse Plan was adopted in 2012. Currently, the City of Concord is seeking the Request for Qualifications from developers who are interested in this massive project. This Community Reuse Project will include parks, trails, open space, housing, schools, and much more.

At our May 10 Zoom lunch meeting, Brian Applegarth of California Cannabis Tourism Association explained the history, products, and regulations surrounding cannabis and hemp use in our state. His specialty is the tourism aspect of cannabis as people consider cannabis products for both medical and recreational use.
