Chairman: Neil Schmidt (np_schmidt@pacbell.net)
Report for April
At the March meeting, Neil Schmidt went over a bunch of “Windows 10 Applications.” Some of them came from our “in house tech experts,” and some came from recent “Best Apps of the Year” articles. All the apps discussed were free. Take a look at them in Neil’s presentation notes on the CAT Web page. We think you’ll find at least some that will be useful for you. https://sirinc2.org/a16cat
Coming in April, our topic is, “So You Have a New Computer – What’s Next?,” delivered by Frank May. Frank will be discussing subjects such as: Do you really need a new computer? Where is your data? And, how do you migrate your existing apps and email to the new computer? Frank will also be showing us a task list for getting our new machines ready to go.
We look forward to seeing you at 9:15 AM, Thursday April 18, at the Walnut Creek Elks Lodge, 1475 Creekside Drive. We ask for a donation of $5 to cover the cost of the hall rental, coffee and cookies. All SIR members and their guests (spouses included!) are welcome to attend.
